Vertebral Subluxation Complex

The vertebral subluxation complex (VSC) is a very important term in the chiropractic profession and in the office! Dr. Kristen's primary goal as a chiropractor is to find areas of the spine where vertebral subluxation is present and get rid of it.

What is VSC? The simplest definition of a VSC is that it occurs where a spinal vertebra has moved from its normal position and has caused irritation to a nerve. This creates a problem due to the fact that the brain communicates to every organ in the body through the spinal cord and the nerves that branch off of it. Therefore, when nerve irritation is present, there is a dysfunction with the communication between the brain and the rest of the body. This can cause symptoms or conditions like migraines, asthma, high blood pressure, etc. The list is endless. You can see how the absence of vertebral subluxation complex can lead to a much healthier life!
